Congrats to the 2,800 new University of Nebraska-Lincoln grads!!
UNL Commencement is today and tomorrow.
(While we’re at it, a tiny celebration of one year of Going Big Red, too.)
When the earthquake hit this morning, UNL Economics Professor Carlos Asarta was touring Tokyo Tower (he’s scheduled to present a seminar at Waseda University tomorrow).
He was able to share this video. I love how he ends with the message to his students that he plans to be in class on Monday!
Asarta received the Association of Students at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (ASUN) Outstanding Educator of the Year in November. He grew up in Spain and came to UNL to both swim and receive his college education. Asarta received his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate at UNL and now teaches Principles of Macro and Microeconomics and the Intermediate Microeconomic Theory courses.
Go Big Red.
Again, take all rankings with a grain of salt. But the recognition, in this case, is sweet.
UNL is again ranked among the most popular universities by U.S. News & World Report.
Sunny Lincoln, Neb. is ranked among the most literate cities in the U.S. by Central Connecticut State University.
Go Big Red!
